Title: Counter Sales / Parts Advisor
Reports to: Branch Manager
Job purpose:
To assist the Branch Manager (or designate) in achieving sales and promotional targets within agreed guidelines, while ensuring excellent customer service. The role includes carrying out specified tasks within the manager's remit as required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Assist the Branch Manager in motivating customer delivery staff and implementing excellent customer service.
2. Support sales, margin, costs, and business performance according to company requirements.
3. Help implement promotional strategies and activities.
4. Assist with managing cash and debtors systems in accordance with company policies.
5. Ensure all company stock is stored correctly and safely as per manufacturer specifications.
6. Check and process all paperwork related to stock in line with company procedures.
7. Conduct regular stock takes and report anomalies to the Branch Manager.
8. Support replenishment of shop merchandise and maintain a clean, professional appearance for customers.
9. Assist in maintaining the condition of equipment, fixtures, and the fleet of the business unit.
10. Help manage costs and overheads to ensure profitable performance.
11. Liaise with suppliers and partners as needed.
12. Support management, maintenance, and reporting on stock, with particular focus on slow-moving items.
