This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school and will also have responsibilities for three local primary schools. You will be an integral part of the IT team, which is well-established and led by a proactive IT Director who collaborates across all schools and teams.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the onsite IT team, which includes two technicians, and be responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves responding to IT requests, resolving issues promptly, conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and coordinate with third-party vendors for procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes relevant to this field. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service delivery are essential. Experience in team management, upskilling, and training junior staff is also required.
