This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated and committed to the delivery of transformational change to join the Council's Commissioning Access and Independence Team, incorporating the Home to School Travel Service.

As a School Organisation and Provision Project Officer, you will provide high quality business support across the Home to School Travel Service, as well as support the Commissioning Manager and Principal Commissioning Officer in the delivery of transformation projects. You will provide high level support for essential Home to School Travel Service projects and business functions, including data management. You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills with parents, carers, and other stakeholders.

The Opportunity

In the role of School Organisation and Provision Officer, here's an example of what you'll be doing to make an impact:

Under the direction of the Commissioning Manager:

* Provide high quality support, with opportunities to lead, in the delivery of transformation, innovation and budget expenditure programmes within the Home to School Travel Service

* Data management, including supporting the Commissioning Manager with producing customer data and budget reports. Support in the preparation of reports and presentations to relevant internal and external stakeholders, as required.

* Coordinate and support the compliant administration of home to school travel assistance application process.

* Coordinate and support the compliant administration of the pre-16 and post-16 appeals process, including direct involvement in appeal hearings.

* Coordinate and support the compliant administration of Personal Travel Budgets (including mileage allowances) to ensure accurate and on time parent/carer payments, in accordance with Public Contract Regulations.

* Provide mentoring support and guidance to colleagues in the team – to be identified.

* Provide comprehensive support to the team to ensure relevant parties are regularly updated on progress, producing key formal documents to support decision making.

* Demonstrate the Council's vision, values, and priorities, through personal example, to ensure the delivery of practical and effective business outcomes.

* Participate in service improvement including reviewing, business processes and systems and encouraging maximum use of technology to deliver improved, efficient services.
