Kilminorth Park Manager

Location: Kilminorth, near Looe & Polperro, Cornwall

Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Salary: £33,000–£38,000 per annum

Welcome to Kilminorth

Nestled in 32 acres of stunning Cornish countryside, Kilminorth is a private village of beautifully restored holiday cottages, set close to the beaches of Looe and Polperro. With features including an outdoor heated pool, tennis court, hot tubs, and meadows, we offer guests a peaceful and stylish retreat in nature.

We're now looking for an experienced and hands-on Park Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site – ensuring high standards across our cottages, facilities, and guest services, while leading a motivated, multi-skilled team.

The Role

As Park Manager, you will take full operational ownership of Kilminorth – managing our holiday cottages, weddings / events grounds, facilities, and team. Your focus will be on delivering excellent standards, smooth daily operations, and an exceptional guest experience.

This is a full-time position requiring on-call availability and some evening and weekend work, especially during peak season.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Operations

* Take full ownership of the cottages and the wider site, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard.
* Oversee day-to-day operations across housekeeping, maintenance, groundskeeping, and facilities.
* Maintain pool and hot tub operations to required health and safety standards.
* Implement and uphold procedures to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency.
* Use internal systems (e.g. RMS, Xero, Shield H&S) to manage tasks, bookings, and reporting.

Team Management

* Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team across all departments.
* Manage rotas, staff performance, and training needs.
* Foster a positive team culture with a focus on standards, ownership, and service delivery.

Guest Experience

* Ensure a warm and professional welcome for all guests.
* Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and effectively.
* Monitor online reviews (e.g. TripAdvisor, Feefo), share learnings, and drive service improvements.

Weddings & Events

* Support in the planning and delivery of weddings and events hosted at Kilminorth.
* Ensure the site is immaculately presented and prepared ahead of events.
* Liaise with guests and suppliers on the day to support a smooth experience.

Health & Safety & Compliance

* Oversee all health & safety, fire safety, and legal compliance on site.
* Conduct regular checks and audits, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly.
* Lead on-site emergency response as needed.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills

* Previous experience in a hospitality, holiday park, estate, or leisure management role.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-skilled teams.
* Confident using property and booking systems (e.g. RMS, Xero) and managing budgets.
* Familiar with health and safety legislation and site compliance.
* Some experience supporting small events or weddings (desirable).

Personal Attributes

* Calm, confident, and proactive with a hands-on leadership style.
* Detail-focused and committed to high standards.
* Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
* Able to manage time and priorities effectively.
* Comfortable being on-call and flexible with working hours, including some weekends and evenings.
* Full UK driving licence required.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary: £33,000–£38,000 per year depending on experience
* Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Supportive and friendly team environment
* Full training and ongoing development
* The opportunity to lead operations in a truly unique and beautiful setting
