The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a proven Production Supervisor to join a well-established chemical manufacturing business and take ownership of day-to-day operations. As Production Supervisor you’ll ensure sage, compliant and efficient delivery against the production plan.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production targets are achieved in line with S&OP while maintaining strict safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities and plant outages in collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and planning teams.
Lead, audit, and support site personnel to ensure full compliance with operating procedures, permits to work, and safe systems of work.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including reviewing operating practices, implementing enhancements, and progressing operator-led improvement ideas.
Act as a key point of leadership during incidents, shutdowns, commissioning activities, and out-of-hours operational support when required.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
A minimum of HNC/HND in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or significant experience gained within complex process plant operations.
Proven experience supervising teams within a chemical or process manufacturing environment, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
Strong understanding of high?risk operations, including permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and incident management.
Solid technical knowledge of chemical plant equipment and processes, with a methodical and improvement-focused mindset.
Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office applications, with exposure to ERP systems such as SAP being advantageous.
It’s great if you also have the following
Experience leading teams in COMAH, ATEX, or similarly regulated process plants, where safety?critical operations are part of daily work.
