Data Protection Lead for UK & Republic of Ireland – 18 Months Contract – Hybrid/Bracknell
Maximum of 2 days on site per month (also have offices in Grangemouth, Huddersfield, Manchester, Guildford & Cambridge)
36 hour week
£70.18/hr inside IR35 via an umbrella company
There may be the occasional travel across UK & Republic of Ireland as needed
Our client is seeking a Data Protection Lead to lead my client's data protection compliance activities across all sites, all functions and all business processes in the UK and also a business unit based in the Republic of Ireland.
As a Data Protection Lead, you will develop and implement a risk-based action plan to achieve compliance across all functions, including human resources, finance operations, health & safety, digital marketing, mobile apps and manufacturing operations. Experience working for large Global clients is required
In your first few weeks in this Data Protection Lead role, you can expect to:
* Facilitate and own data protection compliance across UK&I operations whilst enabling our businesses to deliver their aims and objectives
* Work closely with the legal and HR teams, functional data protection leads and business process owners
* Stay up to date with changes in data protection laws in the UK post-Brexit and also within the EU (for our Republic of Ireland operations) and provide legislative foresight and lead change man******ment

* Minimum of a GDPR Practitioner Certificate
* Significant experience in all aspects of managing Data Protection compliance
* Excellent knowledge of the UK's data protection laws
* Experience using One Trust
* Practical experience of vendor risk assessments, business process mapping, and risk man******ment (including reviewing contractual clauses, data processing agreements and privacy notices)
