Applications are invited for replacement NHS Consultant General Radiologist posts for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT).
We have general radiology requirements to cover cross-sectional imaging; sub-specialisms are welcome:
* Breast Imaging
* Musculoskeletal Imaging
* Neuroradiology
* Nuclear Medicine
* Paediatric Radiology
* Thoracic Imaging
* Vascular Interventional Radiology
* General Interventional Radiology
Applications are invited for 2 full-time post Interventional Consultant in Radiology, with an interest in General Radiology for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). This post has been created to support the existing team across the working week, and further the expansion of interventional radiology services.

* Duties/Key Responsibilities
The Appointee will be expected, in conjunction with colleagues, to provide a comprehensive radiology service to United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) to the highest standard. From a base to be agreed provide reporting services to other sites within the trust. Any successful candidate may be expected to work on other sites within the Trust as required.
The post may be flexible to some degree based on workload and activity. Team work is very important. The post holder will support and work closely with the Clinical Director, Radiology Head of Service, Lead Nurse and Radiology Operational Managers.

The terms and conditions of employment will be determined by ULHT terms and conditions of employment and are generally in line with NHS terms and conditions of service.
Salary decisions will be in line with NHS Consultant pay scales; any future arrangements will form part of the contract.
The appointee may be required to cover for colleagues' absence by mutual agreement within the department and Trust; six weeks notice of leave is expected to allow proper planning.

Job responsibilities
The post holder shall have medical clearance arranged by the Trust before taking up employment.
* Residence
The person appointed will be required to maintain a private residence in contact with the public telephone service and reside within reasonable access bearing in mind the duties of the post. The Trust requires the candidate to live within 10 miles by road of the main site.
* Relocation Expenses
Relocation expenses may be payable in accordance with the Trust policy.
* Health and Safety
ULHT recognises its duties under Health and Safety legislation to ensure health, safety and welfare at work for all employees, patients, and the public on Trust premises.
All Medical and Dental staff under contract to ULHT will be expected to comply with the Trust Health and Safety Policies.
Professional
The successful candidate must be on the GMC register. The post holder will maintain and expand clinical knowledge, attend educational meetings to maintain CME, and participate in Trust education programs and post-graduate/departmental meetings. All consultants are expected to work with clinical and management colleagues to maintain and develop Trust services.
In addition, the post holder will be required to:
* Provide effective clinical leadership for all staff in the service through positive collaboration with colleagues
* Undertake such other duties as may be identified to meet the needs of the service
* Emergency cover for colleagues during periods of absence
* Carry out teaching duties and participate in Postgraduate Medical Education and teaching of junior medical staff, nursing staff, GPs and other clinical professions
* Attend Radiology team meetings and MDTs, including cross-cover for other sites
* Maintain responsibility for patients in care and department functioning
* Understand UK guidelines on consent, risk management and pre/post IR patient management
* Participate in audits and consider research where appropriate
* Participate in management of the Imaging Service
The Trust supports staff development and mentoring for new consultants and offers professional development opportunities.
The referring clinical services include: Vascular Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery/Medicine, Renal and Transplant Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, GI services, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatric services, Major Trauma, Orthopaedic, LCHS/LPFT, Primary Care and tertiary referrals.
Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification and must be on the Specialist Register, or within 6 months of anticipated CCT at interview.
