The Opportunity
A high-achieving secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a dynamic Drama Teacher to join its creative faculty from January 2026. What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
 * Holds QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
 * Has strong subject knowledge in Drama and an enthusiasm for performance and theatre arts
 * Can plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop creativity and confidence
 * Uses effective assessment and feedback to support student progress
 * Works collaboratively as part of a team and contributes to the wider life of the school
Experience directing school productions, coordinating performing arts events, or leading extra-curricular clubs would be an advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will teach Drama across KS3 and KS4, developing students’ practical skills, understanding of theatre, and ability to perform and evaluate. You will prepare students for GCSE examinations, encouraging creativity, reflection and teamwork.
You will also be involved in co-curricular activities such as school productions, drama clubs and arts festivals, helping to promote confidence and cultural engagement across the school. Collaboration with colleagues in Music and Art will provide opportunities for cross-curricular projects and whole-school performances.
