The Therapy Inpatients department plays a vital role in promoting recovery, independence, and safe discharge for patients across a range of conditions. Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Therapy Inpatients Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions within an acute hospital setting, supporting patients with complex needs to optimise function and facilitate safe discharge planning. Key Responsibilities: Carry out detailed functional assessments for inpatients with varying conditions Develop and implement person-centred treatment plans and discharge recommendations Advise on adaptive equipment and safe discharge arrangements Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families Accurately document clinical findings and maintain timely patient records Support junior staff and contribute to service development initiatives Key Requirements: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist Minimum 6 months of NHS experience at Band 6 level or above Acute inpatient or hospital-based therapy experience desirable Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Additional Information: Full-time hours preferred (Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30) Immediate start available for the right candidate Based fully on-site How to Apply: Please send your updated CV to or contact us on 0333 121 20 10, quoting reference AA/10128/OTB6 .
