Head of Project Controls
This role will preferably be based at GSK HQ, UK but can be based at other European strategic locations on a case-by-case basis.

GSK is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Project Controls team. As the Head of Project Controls, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our project services processes and ensuring the successful delivery of our global capital projects and you will report directly to the Vice President of Global Capital Projects.
In this role you will have responsibility for:
* Project Services:Lead global capabilities within project estimating and cost management, planning, change control, risk management, and contracts management.
* Leadership:Provide direction and motivation to teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a collaborative environment.
* Stakeholder Engagement:Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure effective communication across all project phases.
* Strategic Thinking:Continuously align project strategies with organizational goals and provide recommendations on contracting and procurement strategies.
In this role you will:
* Responsible for the development, communication, training, and maintenance of the GCP PMF Practices, Tools & Templates as it pertains to project services. Ways of Working used for the effective estimation, benchmarking, risk management, contract administration, control and reporting of project time, cost, and progress.
* Functional leadership of all staff engaged in project controls on GCP directed or influenced projects.
* Expert support and consultant to project control staff throughout GSC and the key driver and advocate in standardisation of ways of working.
* Perform Project Reviews, Independent Project Reviews (IPR’s) and health checks as needed to ensure effective project controls are in place from Business Analysis and providing early detection of issues or undesirable trends.
* Provision of tools, ways of working and methodologies for the assessment of project estimates, schedules, and risk.
* Leader in the application of Quantified Risk Analysis (QRA) in project cost and schedule using Monte Carlo Analysis Software simulation-based methodologies.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* BSc in relevant discipline/Chartered Engineer.
* Expert knowledge and considerable experience of Cost Management, Commercial management, Contract management and Project management
* Significant leadership in major capital project execution, including selecting and recommending appropriate technology or control methodologies.
* Engagement with senior management and clients to define business needs, project plans, and proposals, with the ability to tailor presentations effectively.
* Proven leadership, motivation, and direction to teams, fostering team effectiveness through positive interactions and communications.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with multi-cultural sensitivity and experience in adapting to different cultural norms.
* Rich experience in project management, execution planning, construction management, scheduling, cost management, value engineering, and understanding of GSK project processes and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
* MSc or PhD or other Chartered / Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline
* Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort cooperating with individuals internally and externally at all organisational levels.
* Understanding of how different functions interface on GSK projects.
* Broad knowledge of GSK organization, corporate standard procedures, and the ability to guide others in utilizing methodologies and tools.
* Familiar with the GCP Project Management Framework (PMF), relevant engineering standards and compliance requirement as well as Quality Management Systems
