Responsibilities
* Lead multi-disciplinary design teams to meet client, council, and regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance and budget adherence.
* Develop design proposals balancing compliance, siting, energy efficiency, appearance, and cost.
* Oversee application administration, including fee negotiations.
* Manage surveyors and oversee team workloads to meet objectives.
* Enforce legislation, ensuring consistency and compliance, and liaise with wider bodies including Registered Building Control Approvers.
* Coordinate quotes for potential work.
* Promote services and develop partnerships within the construction sector.
Requirements include a degree and membership of RICS (Building Control) or ABE (Building Control), registration as a Class 3 Building Control inspector, evidence of CPD, significant experience in complex project design, team leadership, and client/contractor liaison, along with policy development experience.
