The Business Support Officer plays a crucial role within the Localities team, acting as the main point of contact between customers, the services provided, and the broader Community Services department. This position is responsible for efficiently managing and responding to incoming work requests, allocating tasks to the Localities team, and supporting mobile-based lone workers in the Community Services team. The officer also provides timely and friendly responses to enquiries via various communication channels, serves as an ambassador for the Council, and ensures the delivery of excellent customer service. Building strong working relationships with colleagues, supporting environmental enforcement processes, escalating concerns to the Senior Localities team, and offering administrative support for service projects are all key elements of this role. The Business Support Officer must also prioritise tasks effectively, manage their workload, and provide regular updates and monthly reports to contribute to the success of the Community Services department.
