Responsible Individual - Children's Residential Services
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are working in partnership with a children's residential care provider to recruit an experienced Responsible Individual to oversee three Ofsted-registered homes.
With over 15 years of proven success in delivering high-quality care to children and young people, this organisation is proud of its therapeutic, child-centred approach. This role offers a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team and play a key part in shaping the service, with a clear progression pathway to an Operations Director position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic oversight and ensure that each home delivers consistently high standards of care in line with Ofsted requirements
* Work closely with and support Registered Managers to maintain compliance, develop best practices, and drive continuous improvement
* Oversee safeguarding procedures, risk management, and governance across all three services
* Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including Ofsted, local authorities, and partner agencies
* Contribute to organisational development, service expansion, and long-term strategic planning
Requirements:
* Must have held Registered Manager status in a children's residential setting
* Experience as a multi site manager or Responsible Individual is desired
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent)
* Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and children's home operations
* Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
* Proven experience in driving service improvement and achieving good or outstanding Ofsted outcomes
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel locally between homes
