Vida Healthcare are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our reception team on a full-time basis. The role will be based predominantly at our Valentine Road, Hunstanton Surgery.
The role will provide leadership and supervision for our patient support team, ensuring all reception and administration duties are performed.
Main duties of the job
* Oversee the call queues, guide PST members, ensure calls are answered promptly on individual sites, and manage cross-site cover.
* Oversee task management (TMT site-specific) and online consultation services.
* Organise staff working patterns to ensure that daily routines are covered appropriately, including PST staff rotas and cover for short-notice absences.
* Authorize staff reimbursement claims.
* Provide training to new reception team members and support ongoing training needs, ensuring patients are signposted appropriately.
* Be the first point of contact for PST members to escalate items/issues.
* Complete return-to-work interviews when appropriate and promptly.
* Assist with staff probationary reviews and appraisals.
* Keep the team motivated and communicate effectively with all members.
* Be the first point of contact for patients wishing to make verbal complaints.
* Assist with clinical rotas and make immediate adjustments due to GP/triage absences.
* Oversee room allocations as required.

Person Specification
Experience
* Basic knowledge of emails and Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to work effectively with others.
* Excellent organizational, time management, communication skills, and attention to detail.
* Ability to handle highly confidential information.
* Experience managing a small team.
* Previous medical terminology training.
* Experience working within the NHS.
Qualifications
* GCSE level education or two years of relevant work experience.
* NVQ or formal qualification in customer care.
