Position Overview:
As Workshop Controller, you will oversee a team of engineers and ensure an excellent customer experience by optimizing resources to meet customer needs efficiently while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Major Responsibilities:
* Respond to customer requests, prioritize needs, and allocate resources accordingly.
* Plan and manage jobs to maximize engineer productivity and ensure timely completion.
* Accurately open and close work orders, maximize billing, and identify safety or priority reworks.
* Maintain up-to-date system information and load trial data appropriately.
* Manage and mentor engineers, ensuring high customer satisfaction and service profitability.
* Ensure adherence to service processes and procedures.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
* Strong planning, organizing, and attention to detail.
* Influencing and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
* Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Preferred: Advanced engineering aptitude, product knowledge, and familiarity with relevant systems.
Experience and Education:
* Foundational engineering qualification.
* Minimum 3 years in a technical or mechanical engineering role.
* Experience in a similar role is desirable.
Accountability:
* Maintain communication with customers and internal teams regarding job progress.
* Ensure health and safety compliance for engineers and staff.
* Maximize revenue and control expenses.
* Manage approximately 100 work orders monthly, valued around £300k.
* Ensure first-time fix, response times, and promise date adherence.
* Coordinate with supervisors and resolve operational issues.
Working Conditions:
Office-based with flexible hours between 7 am and 6 pm, potential Saturday work.
