 
        
        Overview
The Eye Centre is a bespoke, purpose‑built centre, integrating Ophthalmology Out Patient Clinics, Pre & Post Op areas and Ophthalmology Theatres. The unit aims to provide high quality elective cataract services to meet the demands of an aging population.
Responsibilities
 * Perform clinical and non‑clinical duties as delegated by Charge Nurses and Registered Nurses.
 * Work across pre‑op, post‑op, and theatre areas within the department.
 * Complete mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct.
 * Collaborate with the Clinical Education and Nurse Management Team to support the successful completion of role requirements.
Qualifications
 * Desirable previous experience in a healthcare environment.
 * Expected to work towards completion of the SVQ 3 programme.
 * Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in working within a busy Ophthalmology department.
Training & Development
Training within pre‑op, post‑op areas and theatres is provided. You will be required to achieve all mandatory induction standards.
