Sedgemoor Manor School is recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team. We seek versatile, resilient, and committed individuals who can adapt their practice across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers, assisting children with their work, supporting pupil behavior, establishing good relationships, acting as a role model, and responding to individual needs.

Sedgemoor Manor is a specialist day school for young people aged 10-18 with needs related to autism spectrum disorder/SPLD. Our tailored approach supports young people with diverse learning difficulties. We aim to create a 'culture of success' to help them achieve fulfilling lives.
About you
* You will be a key member of our education support team, working with teachers and therapists to deliver personalized curriculum packages that motivate students.
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant is useful but not essential. We value communication, caring skills, and a willingness to learn. Training and development will be provided.
* Experience supporting children with SLD and complex needs is advantageous but not mandatory.
* You will contribute to implementing individual programs, supporting teaching, social, and independence activities that promote learning and development.
* High emotional resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.
