The Opportunity: Nigel Wright Group has been appointed to lead a UK Head of Sales search for a key client in the building products sector. The role will be a senior strategic position, overseeing both the field sales and specification sales teams, reporting into the UK & Ireland Managing Director. This will be a remotely based role, although ease of access to both the Midlands and the North East would be advantageous. Role Profile: Leading the specification sales and field sales teams to drive profitable revenue generation with customers. Work closely with the Managing Director to create and execute the UK and Ireland sales plan. This will be a market facing role to support the external sales teams achieve market share growth, key relationship development and commercial negotiations. Operating as a key member of the UK & Ireland strategic leadership team. Engaging with Group as required. Using a data driven methodology to analyse performance, provide performance reports upline, downline and cross functionally, and to inform decision making. Owning strategic customer relationships and fostering long-term commercial engagement. Recruiting, onboarding, coaching and developing new and existing talent. Package: £80K - £100K basic salary £8,800 car allowance Performance related bonus scheme Bupa private medical (self), subsidised rate for family Matched pension to 6% 25 days annual leave bank holidays Person Specification: A successful track record in strategic sales leadership. Preferably from a building products background, with both specification and general field sales exposure. A data driven mindset, with strong numeracy and commercial acumen. Effective at communicating performance information and trends effectively, to multiple stakeholders (verbally and in writing). Comfortable with UK wide travel for customer engagement, with regular time spent in the Midlands and the North East.
