Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble products or components on the production line, following established SOP’S Work Instructions and safety guidelines.
* Ensure the operators are assembling products/ components correctly following the SOPs and safety guidelines.
* Support continuous improvement activities and participate in root cause analysis for quality, safety, or delivery issues.
* Escalate process, safety, or quality concerns appropriately and support containment actions.
* Ensure effective shift handover, including status of production, quality issues, and outstanding actions.
* Support achievement of daily production, quality, and safety targets.
* Operate and maintain assembly machinery and equipment and be the reporting line for operators to report any issues.
* Using the 5s ethos, maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and lead by example for the team.
* Work with hand tools and other equipment to assemble products.
* Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy and communicate precisely any concerns or issues with the operators.
* Follow pre-determined production schedules and meet production targets.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
* Work with the Production Supervisor to ensure all members of the team are working to the correct procedure and highlight any concerns.
* Identify training needs for operators and maintain training records with the Production Supervisor.
Desired Experience:
* Experience in thermal joining of aluminum plates
* Experience in sheet metal environments
* Experience in tooling changeovers
Qualifications
Key Skills Required:
* Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
* Previous experience in a production or assembly environment is essential.
* Ability to follow instructions and work with precision.
* Ability to lead by example and set clear boundaries and expectations.
* Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
* Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in assembly.
* IT Literature in Microsoft packages (Excel/ Word) and experience of using Sage would be highly desriable.
* Proven work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to deal with conflict and resolve situations in a calm and precise manner.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work shift patterns.
