Software Licensing Support Specialist

Location:
Hybrid (One day per week in Reading, Berkshire office)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLE PURPOSE

Working within a focused Microsoft Licensing Team, this individual liaises and works closely with External and Internal Licensing Consultants / Specialists as well as other internal colleagues, to ensure that customers receive a high level of service from Ultima

As a Software Licensing Support function, you will be required to work closely with the Ultima sales team providing a reactive sales functions. This will include providing quoting, placing orders, pre and post sales information, and working on query resolution within the Microsoft and Ultima software product portfolio.

The primary role is to align to Corporate customers, although skills are also transferrable to Public Sector team where applicable.

This individual must be highly motivated and responsive to customer and account team needs. They will need to network well with Microsoft and grow and develop their licensing program knowledge on an on-going basis. This individual must have a strong Microsoft licensing background and care about delivering a great service to their customers. Using both Microsoft and Ultima order systems.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

* As a member of the team, you will be expected to complete reports, quote customers and customer order processing. General assisting in the support and growth of Ultima's Microsoft Licensing business
* Working within Microsoft Partner centre and POET for EA.
* Helping to manage a shared mailbox and achieving a 24 hour/ 48 hour SLA. Ensuing all parties are kept update and informed.
* Collaboration with Ultima's sales teams to complete internal requests.
* To understand the customer's license lifecycle, and proactively support them throughout the agreement. This is the support and administration of renewals.
* Progressing and managing opportunities software renewals (in conjunction with Ultima's account manager)
* To give impartial advice based on the customer's best interest and needs. Training will be provided.
* To play an active role in the team, remaining flexible, to cover and to support their licensing consultant and internal in busy periods and absence across all teams
* Proactively keeping up to date with changes to Microsoft's products, services and licensing models
* Attend regular training sessions provided by Microsoft and Adobe to ensure licensing specialist knowledge is always up to date
* To attain and maintain all relevant certifications required by Ultima

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* Needs to be literate, numerate and most importantly articulate
* Experience of Microsoft Software Licensing Programs CSP, Open/Open Value, MPSA and Enterprise Agreements
* Ideally experience within a IT software reseller
* Knowledge of Public Sector procurement
* Must be enthusiastic self-motivated, tenacious as well as a team player
* Must have the ability to communicate with and work effectively with suppliers, vendors, internal departments and customers
* Must be able to work under pressure
* Must have a flexible working attitude
* Must be able to contribute to individual, team and company targets and objectives
* Must be commercially minded with good common sense
* Must be conscientious with an exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent telephone and administration skills, professional attitude and integrity.
* Must have experience of working with Excel.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
