Overview
SEND Child Support Worker – Complex Needs School (PMLD). Do you have a background in care or support work and want to make a real difference in a child’s life? We are working with a specialist SEND school supporting children and young people aged 2–19 with complex needs, including PMLD, autism and physical disabilities. This is a nurturing, well‑supported environment where staff work closely together to provide high levels of care, consistency and emotional support. The school focuses on helping pupils to develop communication, independence and life skills, with every achievement – no matter how small – recognised and celebrated.
Role
This is a hands‑on support role, combining elements of care and education.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs
* Support with personal care, including toileting and feeding where required
* Assist pupils with mobility and physical support needs
* Help create a calm, safe and structured environment
* Support pupils to engage in sensory and learning activities
* Work closely with teachers and therapists as part of a supportive team

* Individuals with experience in complex needs, disability or personal care
