Role Summary
We are looking for an Executive Assistant who will serve as a functional ambassador for Sophos and the Senior Management Team. You will provide full executive administrative support for our senior UK‑based managers – the SVP Finance, the Chief Research and Scientific Officer and the CISO, with some calendar and travel support for their direct reports. The successful candidate must be adaptable, think strategically, be a creative problem‑solver and anticipate the needs of those they support.
What Will You Do
 * Independently provide high‑quality support to the SVP Finance, the Chief Research and Scientific Officer and the CISO as needed.
 * Help define new operational strategies and manage day‑to‑day workflow to make the team more efficient.
 * Act as a liaison, problem‑solver, facilitator and first point of contact for the executives and others in their departments.
 * Assist in the completion of high‑level reports, documentation and presentations.
 * Prioritise and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, following through on issues in a timely manner.
 * Coordinate schedules, complex calendars and individual and group meetings on and off‑site, including all logistics (communication, location, meals, equipment, materials, RSVPs and travel/accommodations).
 * Manage a variety of bills and invoices, bank and credit‑card accounts and the expense reimbursement process for supported managers.
 * Manage departmental team‑building events, off‑site meetings and coordinate logistics for all‑hand meetings.
 * Contribute to UK office‑wide social and charitable events, including as a member of the UK leadership forum group.
 * Manage physical wet signing of contracts and company secretarial documents that cannot be signed electronically by the company directors (SVP Finance and Group Financial Controller).
 * Manage the quarterly CFO employee representation process.
 * Collaborate with other senior leadership executive assistants to create seamless office operations and enable a culture of success.
 * Create solutions to new challenges through professional and local knowledge.
What Will You Bring
 * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
 * At least 5+ years’ experience supporting senior‑level executives.
 * Extremely detail‑oriented, highly organised and results‑oriented.
 * Able to work with little or no supervision.
 * Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, teamwork, maturity under pressure and the ability to resolve problems before they escalated.
 * Highly advanced MS Office skills and technologically savvy (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
 * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization both written and verbal.
 * Approachable, positive and upbeat personality.
 * High level of discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs.
 * Professional presence and demeanor at all times.
 * Good judgment in setting priorities and managing multiple tasks for multiple team members simultaneously.
 * Highest level of personal integrity.
 * Ability to work in a fast‑paced, change‑oriented, problem‑solving environment.
At times, flexibility is needed when executives travel in different time zones.
Role requirements necessitate one day per week in the Abingdon UK office and four days of remote working.
12‑Month FTC starting January 2026.
