You will supervise a team of 21 colleagues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in line with service level agreements, KPIs and contractual obligations.As a key member of the management team, you will oversee warehouse operations, support MOD accounting and IT systems, maintain excellent client relationships, and deputise for the Warehouse & Distribution Manager during periods of absence.What you'll do:Operational LeadershipProvide daily supervision and task management of the warehouse team.Act as the primary contact for all military clothing requirements.Ensure consistent delivery of contracted outputs using Sodexo and MOD IT systems.Undertake management checks on the internal systems and act as the local SME for the MOD accounting system.Maintain service standards in line with SLAs, KPIs, and contractual terms.Logistics & Systems ManagementSupervise the MIS reporting process, supporting management and higher formations.Oversee daily use and administration of Kronos (people management application).Ensure availability and serviceability of all Garrison unit stores.Deliver logistic outputs in accordance with MOD regulations and procedures.Support compliance during internal and external audits.People & Performance ManagementAttend and deliver team briefings, meetings, and huddles.Provide low-level training, manage performance, and address absence or minor disciplinary matters.Foster strong client and customer relationships.Compliance, Safety & QualityConduct service audits to support contractual outputs.Report unsafe behaviours, near misses and incidents promptly, supporting a 'Zero Harm' culture.Monitor and uphold Health & Safety standards across all operations.Care for and maintain company and authority equipment.Continuous ImprovementSupport service growth while maintaining strict budgetary control.Contribute to achieving site budget targets in line with business objectives.Build and maintain effective networks across Sodexo and MOD.Engage in continuous professional development, particularly within soft FM services.Act as the nominated deputy for the maintenance of buildings D07 and K18.Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.What you bring:Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or soft FM environment.Background in military logistics and familiarity with MJDI.Strong people management and communication skills.Solid understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Highly organised, with attention to detail and a customer service mindset.Held a full UK Driving Licence for 2 years or more.Must be over 25 years of age to drive company vehicles (insurance requirement).DeisrablePrevious experience managing in a similar supervisory role.Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent).Proven experience in managing client relationships in a logistics or warehouse environment.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.Security Clearance (SC) or willingness to undergo clearance.What we offer:On-the-job training with experienced professionalsFully funded apprenticeship qualificationsCareer development opportunities within SodexoA friendly and supportive work environmentWellbeing Support – Unlimited online resources, a free health app with 24/7 virtual GP, and an Employee Assistance Programme.Financial Benefits – Discounts for you and your family, salary finance support, retirement plan, and a death-in-service benefit.Career Growth – Apprenticeships, learning tools, and development opportunities.Work Perks – Cycle to Work Scheme, volunteering opportunities, flexible work, full training, and a protective uniform.
