Overview
To provide strong leadership and technical expertise to your section and radiotherapy centre and satellites overall, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-centred radiotherapyThe post holder will be part of small team of 2-4 section leads responsible for workforce, service delivery, and clinical standards, supporting the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy treatments using modern techniques and state of the art equipment. The role contributes to strategic service development, workforce development and training and continuous service improvement.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the section and radiotherapy centre and satellites in workforce management, service delivery and clinical standards.
* Contribute to strategic service development, workforce development, training and continuous service improvement.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure safe, efficient and patient-centred radiotherapy treatments using modern techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy or Therapeutic Radiography & HCPC
* Evidence of postgraduate study or working towards MSc level
* Significant post registration experience in radiotherapy pathway delivery
* Experience working at Band 7 or equivalent senior level
* Experience supervising or managing staff
* Experience of recruitment including interviewing
* Experience of training staff and assessing competence for an area of practice
Desirable qualifications
* MSc in Radiotherapy, Leadership or related subject
* Coaching or mentoring qualification
* Experience of Varian Radiotherapy equipment incl. Eclipse & ARIA
* Participation in radiotherapy research or clinical trials
* Experience of implementation of change in practice
