As a Floating Support Worker, you’ll work across Petersfield and the surrounding Hampshire area, helping individuals experiencing homelessness move towards safety, stability, and long‑term independence.
About the Role
This is a varied, community‑based position where you’ll work directly with people who are rough sleeping, vulnerably housed, or transitioning into accommodation. You’ll provide practical guidance, emotional support, and a clear route into essential services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering outreach across Petersfield and nearby areas
Identifying and engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness
Supporting people to access accommodation, housing services, and vital resources
Providing person‑centred support, advocacy, and tenancy‑related guidance
Liaising with local authorities, housing teams, and partner agencies
Lone working within the community (full training and support provided)
Travelling across the area to meet service users (driver essential)
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re compassionate, resilient, and confident working independently. Experience in homelessness support, housing, social care, or a similar field is highly desirable.
