The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sales Support Executive to join their growing commercial team.

You will play an important role in supporting the sales team, helping to generate new opportunities, and ensuring customers receive a high level of service. It's a hands‑on position that offers exposure to the full sales cycle within a supportive and ambitious SME business.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the sales team with new business activity, including customer research and lead generation
* Assisting with the development and management of the sales pipeline
* Contacting prospective customers through calls, networking, and industry events
* Working closely with internal teams including NPD, supply chain, and operations
* Managing customer accounts, handling queries, and building strong relationships
* Supporting order processing and ensuring all customer requirements are handled efficiently
* Analysing sales data and reporting on performance where required
* Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity
* Providing general sales administration support to the commercial team
The Person
* 1‑3 years' experience in a sales, commercial, or customer‑facing role
* A genuine interest in the food and drink industry
* Confident, proactive, and willing to take a hands‑on approach
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships easily
* Well organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast‑paced environment
* Positive attitude and keen to develop a career within sales
