Overview

Are you an energetic and motivated sports professional with a passion for cricket and a commitment to developing young athletes? Do you want to be part of a dynamic sports department in a thriving independent boarding school environment? If so, Bloxham School would love to hear from you. We are seeking a Sports Professional with a specialism in cricket to join our ambitious and supportive Sports Coaching Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can inspire excellence on the field, contribute across a range of sports, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

Our Sports Coaching Department delivers high-quality coaching across a wide variety of disciplines, promoting not just physical performance but also the values of teamwork, resilience, and leadership. Our students are encouraged to compete, to grow, and to enjoy sport for life.


Your Role

* Provide expert coaching in cricket and assist in at least two other sports such as rugby, hockey, netball, athletics, or tennis.
* Support the development of students' fitness through our strength and conditioning programme.
* Play a key role in PE lessons and contribute to extra-curricular sports activities, including inter-house competitions and outreach work with partner schools.
* Manage and promote sports fixtures and results via social media and our SOCS platform.
* Be a welcoming presence on match days, helping host visiting teams and supporters.


What We're Looking For

* Essential:
o A degree or equivalent
o Coaching qualifications (NGB or equivalent)
o High-level playing experience at university or representative level
o Strong knowledge of cricket, with coaching or playing experience
* Desirable:
o Experience working with younger pupils (ages 11-13)
o Coaching experience in a school or club setting

Working Arrangements

* Permanent, full time working term time only (34 weeks a year)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Sports coaching scale, £21,734 to £29,385 including holiday pay
