The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the mechanical installation of photovoltaic (PV) trackers, fixed tilt, floating and special structures (carport) on a large-scale solar project. To ensure that work is executed according to the manufacturer’s installation manual, project specifications, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with the site manager, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Tasks
* Oversee material delivery form suppliers
* Monitor installation works, piling, upper structure, module installation, cable dressing
* Possible interaction with other stakeholders such as engineering and surveyor
* Supervise monitor mechanical works
* Monitor lifting activities
* Ensure quality inspections of materials, (grainsize gravel, concreate, steel etc..)
* Comply with building codes, safety regulation and environmental standards
* Inspections of the works and their documentation
* Technical inputs during execution
* Maintaining the quality management system
* Support on weekly and monthly progress reporting
* Report delays and breaches
