Westwood Recruitment are proud to be supporting a client in the food manufacturing / FMCG sector who are looking to appoint a driven Hygiene Manager to lead and support their on-site hygiene team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee hygiene operations, ensure high standards are maintained, and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and compliance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all hygiene services are delivered and maintained to the highest standard
• Manage hygiene team hours and ensure expenditure is authorised and recorded
• Maintain detailed cleaning instructions, schedules, and risk assessments in line with BRC food safety standards and customer codes of practice
• Conduct internal hygiene audits and compliance inspections
• Manage hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment, including chemical titration checks
• Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture on site
• Support microbiological investigations and hygiene improvement projects
• Deliver training and awareness sessions for hygiene and waste handling teams
• Attend regular operational meetings and monthly KPI reviews
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 Food Safety Qualification (minimum) – Level 4 desirable
Experience in a senior hygiene role within food manufacturing or FMCG
Experience working with HACCP systems
Health & Safety Level 3 qualification
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience supporting BRC and customer audits
Ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce
