Application Support Engineer – Chippenham – Permanent – £35,000
Peaple Talent has partnered with a communications company looking for an Application Support Engineer.
Role Overview
You will be primarily responsible for command & control support, providing second‑line support to critical police‑system products nationwide, including incident resolution and system upgrades. This is a hybrid role based in Chippenham with a shared on‑call rota. Out‑of‑hour support may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for government emergency services products.
* Advise and assist end users with product usage.
* Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed time frames.
* Update and manage documentation and procedures to support incident resolution.
* Travel to customer sites for problem resolution, system upgrades or meetings across the country.
Candidate Profile
* Experience working with Windows environments and preferably in communications.
* Background in IT support, including troubleshooting, incident management, and documentation.
* Good understanding of SQL Server and command & control systems.
* Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
* Preferably holds or can obtain security clearance.
Package and Benefits
Basic salary: £35,000 per annum.
