Pay: £23,880.00 per year
Shift pattern from 06:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday (37.5 hrs).

Responsibilities
* Prioritise the day-to-day activities of the yard area, ensuring all relevant Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
* Maintain a clean, neat and tidy yard
* Ensure the safe control of vehicles in and out of the yard area
* Implement a suitable holding system to prevent yard congestion due to vehicle numbers
* Monitor waste skips and ensure prompt exchange of vessels as required
* Monitor waste disposal to prevent cross-contamination
* Maintain general housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean working environment
* Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials
* Oversee site plant equipment and ensure equipment is safe, operational, and secured
* Manage deliveries, ensuring vehicles are loaded/unloaded safely and paperwork is correct
* Assist in monthly safety/yard inspections and document findings
* Manage the logistics of all material (location, flow of goods) to avoid yard congestion
* Record and report maintenance issues to appropriate stakeholders
* Drive health & safety improvements and engage with staff
* Assist management with control measures to highlight and resolve mistakes or discrepancies
Ideal Candidate
* Banksman training
* In-date FLT licence
Qualifications
* Proven experience in yard management or a related field
* Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations
* Familiarity with transportation management systems
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
