Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £37000-£38,300 DOE Per Annum + Fantastic Benefits
Location: Wrexham
Monday to Friday Days
Gap Technical is proud to be partnering with an international manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their Wrexham Facility. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and reputable organisation.
Role Overview
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the site through a range of engineering tasks. You will work closely with the production team to deliver timely maintenance and resolve breakdowns.
Operational Engineering
* Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of Medium/Heavy industrial plant and machinery.
* Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
* Developing and implementing modifications to improved reliability of plant and machinery.
* Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
* Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
* Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments.
* Commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to challenges.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Time served with EITB/equivalent Certificate of Craftsmanship.
* Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
* Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation.
* High pressure steam maintenance.
* MS Office or equivalent.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering.
