About the Role
Akramatic Engineering Co. LTD is seeking a skilled and reliable MIG/TIG Welder to join our engineering and fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating sheet metal components to a high standard, working from technical drawings, and maintaining safe and efficient workshop practices.
Key Responsibilities
Welding and fabricating sheet metal components to specifications using MIG/TIG processes
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
Occasional use of power tools including grinders, drills, saws, and cutting equipment
Ensuring all work meets required quality standards and tolerances
Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Maintaining tools and equipment in safe, good working condition
Working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Requirements
Proven experience as a sheet metal welder/fabricator
Competent in MIG and TIG welding (or other processes as required)
Confident and safe use of hand and power tools
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
Hours & Pay
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 39 hours per week
Overtime: Regular overtime available.
Pay Rate: £14.50 £15.50 per hour (depending on experience) + profit share scheme.
