The Challenge:
This operational support role supports the active fighter unit at RAF Lakenheath, UK. You will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of systems that keep our jets operational.
The F-35 Lightning II features the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), which enables operators to plan, maintain, and sustain the aircraft's systems throughout its lifecycle. As part of the F-35 Operations Team, ALIS administrators must:
* Obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance
* Be willing and able to travel for military deployments or detachments
* Work various shifts, including weekends, to support mission requirements
* Complete a pre-employment medical exam to ensure capability for deployment in austere environments
A Day in the Life:
As an ALIS Administrator, your responsibilities include system administration, data management, network administration, and mission planning. You will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing training. Tasks will include:
* Achieving Subject Matter Expert status for ALIS
* Serving as the primary technical contact for customers
* Training users and administrators
* Performing system backups, restores, and disaster recovery
* Maintaining system software, firewalls, and accounts
* Re-imaging laptops, troubleshooting, and managing storage
* Installing software and ensuring secure operation of multi-user systems
* Reviewing operational data and coordinating equipment installations
Basic Qualifications:
* Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 6 years
* Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification within 60 days
* IT experience in system, database, or network administration
* Minimum of 2 years ALIS experience
Desired Skills:
* International work experience in IT or engineering
* Military aviation experience
* Web application troubleshooting
* JBOSS (WildFly) application server familiarity
* Experience with Active Directory, Oracle, CRM
* Disaster recovery expertise
* Virtual machine management (Hyper-V, VMware)
* Hardware maintenance and upgrades
* Applying system updates and patches
* Using Splunk for log analysis
* Red Hat Linux administration
* Oracle patching and database management
* Experience with Lockheed Martin products and processes, including JSF ALIS hardware/software
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a US citizenship and a government security clearance at the Secret level with investigation within the last 5 years.
