Interim Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager
Location: Windsor (Hybrid)
Contract: 3-4 months (potential temp-to-perm)
Rate: £350-£400 per day (via Umbrella)
Our client, a growing and dynamic business, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to support the finance function during a busy period of change and growth. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
2. Prepare group consolidations and support the production of board packs and statutory accounts
3. Manage intercompany accounting and support the integration of overseas entities
4. Oversee payroll accounting and reconciliations across UK and international operations
5. Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with external advisors on EU VAT matters where required
6. Support the year-end audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
7. Assist with acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and integration into group reporting
8. Manage and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
9. Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and automation
10. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare technical accounting memos as needed
Candidate Profile
11. Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
12. Strong experience in month-end close, group reporting, and statutory accounting
13. Previous exposure to multi-entity and international environments
14. Confident working in interim roles and able to add value quickly
15. Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
