Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer
Location: Watford
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Watford. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a variety of ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects from initial tender through to completion, whilst managing client relationships and supporting junior team members.
The Role
As a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of site investigation and contaminated land projects across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects from inception to completion.
* Designing and supervising intrusive site investigations.
* Managing subcontractors, drilling crews and site works.
* Interpreting geotechnical and contamination data.
* Preparing and reviewing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports and remediation strategies.
* Liaising directly with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
* Managing project budgets, programmes and commercial performance.
* Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and graduates.
* Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements:
* Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience within a geoenvironmental or ground investigation consultancy.
* Strong project management experience.
* Proven experience supervising site investigations and producing technical reports.
* Good understanding of contaminated land legislation and guidance.
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
