As we expand, we are seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead operational excellence and secure new care packages through strategic business development.
Purpose of the Role
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of services in accordance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations and the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016. We are particularly looking for someone who has a track record of growing services, winning business, and building strong professional relationships with commissioners and partners.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Leadership
* Ensure the service meets all requirements of CIW and relevant Welsh legislation.
* Maintain the Statement of Purpose and ensure service delivery reflects it.
* Lead, manage, and develop a skilled and motivated care team.
* Implement robust quality assurance systems and lead service improvement.
Business Development & Growth
* Identify opportunities to grow services and increase occupancy/care hours.
* Build relationships with local authorities, health boards, brokers, and private clients.
* Prepare for and respond to tenders or funding opportunities.
* Promote the service in the local community and through professional networks.
Service Delivery
* Oversee person-centred care planning and assessments.
* Ensure services promote well-being, choice, and independence.
* Manage safeguarding, complaints, and risk appropriately.
* Support and guide the team to deliver high-quality outcomes for individuals.
Qualifications and ExperienceEssential:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults' Residential Management or Adults' Management) – Wales or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager (or in a senior leadership role in social care).
* Excellent understanding of CIW regulations and Welsh legislation.
* Demonstrated success in business development or service expansion.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable:
* Established relationships with commissioners, health boards, and social services in Wales.
* Experience in completing tenders, framework applications, or private care sales.
* Welsh speaker (preferred but not essential).

Pay: £28,230.07-£39,372.88 per year
