About the Role: This is a key role within the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) finance team that will act as key business partner to President AWC, VP AWC Global Marketing, VP AWC Strategy / M&A and VP Sales Excellence while reporting to the VP Finance for Advanced Wound Care globally. You are the primary interface into Finance for the Business, providing insights, identifying opportunities and challenges, support long-term strategic planning, evaluating inorganic opportunities, new product innovation business cases and driving commercial productivity for the business. You will work alongside various senior stakeholders to help drive performance for the business unit. Within Finance, you are the Business advocate, focusing beyond the Finance boundaries and leading on cross-functional collaboration. Key is the overt ownership of relationships with multiple stakeholders, consistently building executive confidence by showing yourself to be an expert across the business unit. Accountabilities : You will be partnering President AWC and VP Finance AWC for delivering sustainable and profitable growth for the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) business unit globally. This would include but not limited to development of strategic plan, drive operating reviews with regional business teams, and work on growth / efficiency transformation initiatives. You will also work with VP Global Marketing and VP R&D to develop / review of business cases for new product innovations / inorganic opportunities which underpin the future growth for Convatec. Driving Commercial productivity has been the key to long term profitable growth for Convatec. You will partner with VP Sales Force Excellence and Commercial leaders to set clear KPI’s, drive cost consciousness behaviors, identify gap closure opportunities and drive commercial outcomes for the Business Unit. Key to delivery within this role will be working directly with senior Business leaders on various projects, strategic thinking of the business direction, and managing BU performance over multiple measures through robust balanced scorecard reporting. This is an individual contributor role and will be supported by colleagues in our FP&A Centre of Excellence and Global Business Services based, based in three GBS centers (Lisbon, Bogota and Malaysia). We expect you to be a hands-on business partner with a strategic lens to analyze and decipher business issues. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Partner the VP Finance for AWC in development and supporting delivery of long-term Strategic Plan and Annual Budgets. • Lead the development and delivery of strategy translation into short, medium and long-term financial and non-financial targets and KPIs (EBIT, revenue growth, cash flow) • Identify potential performance gaps and drive course correction working with various markets through a balanced scorecard approach for the business • Provide support on developing and tracking Investment initiatives and Product/Market launches. This includes development of business cases, and the post-event evaluation of investments. • Drive strategic allocation of resources across countries and ways to improve commercial productivity. • Drive and explore various organic / inorganic opportunities to drive business growth working closely with VP M&A and VP Global Marketing. • Develop and implement Return on Marketing Investment models on Global Marketing and SFE investments working with the FP&A Centre of Excellence • Provide leadership, direction and support to GBS and FP&A teams on various activities like month end close, financial analytics etc • Partner with the Investor Relations team to provide narrative and storytelling about BU performance for use in investor communications. • As a senior representative in the finance function with deep knowledge of the business unit, support our finance function to grow together by sharing knowledge, with a particular focus on building commercial acumen within our FP&A team. You foster a mindset of continuous improvement, translating strategies into actions and act as the go-to Finance leader within Europe for the Business Unit. • You will be "proactive” when supporting the business and bringing solutions • You need to have an MBA/CPA or similar qualification with post-qualification experience including an experience on developing long Strategic Plans and driving performance management in a global role. • Demonstrated experience of working with Marketing leaders on New Product Launches and evaluation of inorganic opportunities is must. • Ideally should have demonstrated experience of driving business turnarounds, developed growth strategies and partnered Sales / Commercial Teams in driving return on marketing investments. • Should have led and developed a team of Finance professionals particularly in a Global Business Services set up • This experience should be ideally in a Pharma / MedTech, consumer environment in one of the large FTSE businesses • Should have good interpersonal skills, analytical ability and have the gravitas of managing senior business stakeholders. • Working Knowledge of SAP / Hyperion / Power BI would be an added advantage • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages would be an added advantage but not essential
