Ward 35 is a dynamic, fast-paced ward, specialisingin emergency and elective General Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat), and Urology care. We are committed todelivering high-quality patient-centred care and supporting the development ofour staff. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the care andrecovery of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Band 2 Care support worker tojoin our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work alongside nursingstaff and other healthcare professionals to provide essential support in thecare of patients. You will assist in delivering a high standard of care toensure the well-being and comfort of our patients
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a healthcare setting,ideally within a surgical or similar environment, but not essential. You should have a basic understanding of surgical proceduresand patient care needs, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work well under pressure as part of ateam in a busy ward environment is crucial, as is a compassionate, caring, and empathetic attitude towards patientcare.

Main duties of the job
Assist patients with activities of daily living(ADLs), including washing, dressing, and mobility.
Support patients pre- and post-surgery, ensuringtheir physical and emotional well-being.
Maintain patient dignity, privacy, andconfidentiality at all times.
Work collaboratively with the wider healthcareteam to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Promote a safe environment and assist inmaintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the ward.
