A client within the Public Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Property Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Building Services & Maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To support the Property Services team in reviewing housing stock across various locations and providing professional surveying services in line with council objectives.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Undertake housing stock condition surveys across the county
• Produce detailed reports and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with council standards and health & safety regulations
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A recognised qualification in Building Surveying (HNC, HND or degree level)
• Relevant experience within public sector housing maintenance
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Knowledge of relevant building regulations and housing legislation
• Proficiency in reporting software or housing systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £24 per hour PAYE).
