About the Role

:

Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for Product Support Lead to support existing Boeing product platforms, mainly Fixed and Rotor Wing aircraft.

BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,400 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase.

BDUK engineering function operates a matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department. The Department consists of the following technical areas:

1. Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
2. Reliability and Maintainability
3. Logistic Support Analysis
4. Engineering Data Exploitation
5. Obsolescence Management
6. Technical Publications
7. Product Support Engineering.

As a Product Support Lead, you will help to facilitate and implement Product Support Engineer philosophies and techniques whilst remaining compliant with the appropriate regulatory standards. You will report to the BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by our other capability specialists within the department.

In your role, you shall:

8. Assisting in developing/maintaining plans and processes to ensure Product Support outputs meet technical data regulatory and company requirements.
9. Production of routine Product Support Outputs.
10. Conducting tasks to identify, collate, analyse, document and provide coherent and actionable data information relevant to Product Support
11. Assisting in briefing both internally and externally on Product Support engineering activities and communicating progress with the Product Support department
12. Liaising with Engineering, R&M, ILS, Publications, RCMA, LSA, Supply Chain and other Product Support Departments in both Boeing UK and USA to glean and/or provide data and information to support their tasks and activities.
13. Ensure Data Governance and Data Assurance is maintained, and to deliver Data Integrity and Data Quality.
14. Identifying and progressing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
15. Supporting internal and external audits and reviews to ensure products and data information meet requirements.
16. Work as directed by the Lead Technical Support Engineer and the BDUK Support Engineering Manager

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

17. Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
18. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
19. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
20. Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail
21. Strong written and oral communication skills

Having some understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment is a plus but not mandatory.
