Are you a Senior Authorised Person looking for your next contract? Have you got experience working with a variety of DNO's? If so, please read on...
Core duties include:
Full SAP responsibilities (not just switching)
* HV switching, isolations, earthing, LOTO
* Permits to Work / Sanctions for Test
* Safety from the system (incl. SF₆ GIS)
* Review/approval of RAMS, switching programmes, energisation plans
* Coordination with DNO/ICP, EPC and commissioning teams
* Grid connection testing (SCADA coordination) and G99 compliance
* HV troubleshooting (relays, switchgear, protection systems)
Essential requirements:
* 33 kV SAP authorisation (mandatory) with recognised HV switching competency
* Proven experience under UK HV Safety Rules
* Authorised by / acceptable to relevant DNOs (e.g. Northern Powergrid, UK Power Networks, National Grid ESO) and able to operate under DNO/ICP/site rules
* CSCS/ECS, HV medical, HVSAP, First Aid
* Working knowledge of CDM 2015
Desirable (not essential) requirements:
* 66 kV / 132 kV authorisations
* AP15 / Authorised Person (HV)
* IOSH qualification
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* NEBOSH
* OEM/GIS (SF₆) training
* Strong fault-finding and experience with complex/staged energisation (Solar + BESS)
