Assembly Fitter Salary Dependent on Experience Our client is a leader in the Design and Manufacturing of bespoke valves for a variety of industries and they are looking for a Assembly Fitter to join their team! Roles and Responsibilities: * Carry out the assembly and commissioning of repaired or new valves to the appropriate standard and specification set in place by the relevant supporting documents * Testing of valves to appropriate standards or to the client’s specific test requirements * Completion of customer specific documentation * Ensuring that the appropriate hold points/inspection points are adhered to, as 3rd party signatories/verification * Understand the customer’s requirements as regards deliveries which may involve excessive hours to achieve required deliveries * Maintain a good level of housekeeping within the working environment you are currently in * Carry out responsibility with regards to the company’s, its customers’ and statutory requirements for health, safety, and the environment * Positively promote the company’s products/services/reputation through actions of conduct * Mentoring apprentices * Utilise various tools, equipment, and machining instruments in daily tasks * Required to manage own time and liaise with other stakeholders (internal and external) as appropriate to maximise outputs, efficiencies, and stakeholders’ satisfaction * Responsible (along with colleagues in Departments) for the effective updating/upkeep of databases and records Ideal Candidate: * Engineering apprentice trained or equivalent * Good level of knowledge in carrying out control valve assembly and testing * To be able to carry out the installation of instrumentation along with instrumentation diagnostics * Ability to be able to read and understand engineering drawings * Proficient in mathematics, skilled in interpreting bar graphs and computing rates and percentages * Capable of problem-solving related to control valve assemblies and instrumentation Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
