Lead CMM Programmer – Lincolnshire | Global Manufacturer
Are you an experienced CMM Programmer looking to step into a hands-on leadership role? Want to shape inspection strategy and drive best-in-class metrology within a high-precision engineering environment?
We’re looking for a technically strong, detail-focused CMM professional to lead a team of inspectors at a well-established manufacturing site in Lincolnshire. You'll take ownership of the inspection and metrology function — leading from the front, developing CMM programs, and mentoring the wider team!
What You’ll Be Doing as a CMM Programmer:
* Leading Quality Control function to establish world-class inspection and metrology processes
* Inspection of components through CMM or manual methods
* Setting and adjusting CMM programs
* Ensuring all quality documents are maintained and completed accurately
* Liaising with other departments on quality related matters for resolution
* Leading and developing a team, implementing training plans, and supporting ongoing career development.
Person Requirement for the CMM Programmer
A strong inspection background with at least 5 years' experience, ideally coming through an apprenticeship, HNC or HND route.
* Proven ability to program and operate CMMs
* Deep understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and metrology principles
* Experience working within regulated manufacturing industries
* Confident leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and train others
Why Join as a CMM Programmer:
This is more than a supervisory role. It's a chance to shape, lead and grow the department and support the development of more junior members of the team. You’ll work in a high-precision environment with the backing of a global organisation — and the freedom to make the department your own.
What's in it for you:
* A genuine opportunity to build and lead the inspection function at a high-performing site
* Autonomy to shape how inspection is delivered, with full backing from site and group leadership
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 5% employer pension and subsidised healthcare
* Be part of a respected global engineering group with career progression and investment in skills
