Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
* Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
* Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
* Performs preparation and analysis of samples of various matrices using various analytical methods.
* Analyzes, prepares samples, and performs QC for routine testing.
* Reviews, works up, and assembles all supporting data for work performed.
* Performs basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work.
* Reads, understands, and executes SOPs required by EPA, company methods, governing agencies, clients, and internal QC department.
* Prepares standard solutions and reagents as needed.
* Uses word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC.
* Disposes of all chemical wastes using approved methods.
* Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is full-time, available on multiple shifts, with overtime as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for degree.
* Proficiency with computer skills.
* Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
* Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
Ideal Candidates will have:
* Previous laboratory experience is a plus.
* Experience with instrumentation such as LC/MS or GC/MS is a plus.
* Environmental Science coursework or experience is a plus but not required.
Additional Information
Pay range: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential.
