Your new role
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in the procurement process, ensuring materials are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to meet project requirements. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and work closely with design, project management, and logistics teams to optimise procurement strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and purchasing construction materials
- Negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions
- Managing purchase orders and delivery schedules
- Conducting cost analysis and maintaining budget control
- Supporting project teams to ensure timely material availability
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills
- Experience in sourcing construction materials and managing supply chains
- Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory control
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, CIPS or similar (preferred)
