We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fleet Operational Support Driver to join our team.

What You’ll Do
The Fleet Operations Assistant will support the fleet team to ensure that all mobile workshops, vans, and associated vehicles are maintained, compliant, and operating smoothly. This is a hands-on role driving panel vans up to 3.5T throughout the UK.
There will be administrative tasks to complete maintenance oversight, record keeping, compliance, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The role ensures the fleet supports Likewize’s service commitments and helps enable technicians to perform their jobs without delay caused by vehicle or logistical issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor vehicle usage and condition; conduct routine inspections (e.g., cleanliness, safety checks, tyre condition, fluid levels).
2. Liaise with workshops, garages, suppliers, insurance companies for servicing, parts, claims.
3. Coordinate vehicle assignments to technicians / mobile repair units, ensuring availability, proper equipping, and readiness.
4. Support logistics planning (routes, workshop locations) to optimize fleet efficiency.
5. Assist with procurement of parts, consumables, and equipment related to vehicle operations.
6. Drive company vehicles where required
7. Respect the value of information by following Likewize's data protection / information security policies and procedures.
Additional support roles
8. Assist in scheduling and coordinating vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOT, and repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
9. Maintain accurate records for each vehicle: registration, insurance, MOT, service history, mileage, compliance documentation.
10. Assist in keeping fleet management software/tools up to date (e.g., logging servicing, repairs, availability status).
11. Track and manage vehicle-related costs (fuel, repairs, parts) and report on variance vs budget.
12. Support in fleet compliance—ensuring all vehicles meet legal and regulatory requirements (MOT, tax, insurance, safety, etc.).
13. Provide administrative support: filing, documentation, invoices, raising purchase orders.
Role Requirements
Essential:
14. Full, valid UK driving licence (clean).
15. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
16. Good IT literacy: competent with MS Office (especially Excel), able to use tracking / fleet / inventory software.
17. Good communication and interpersonal skills—able to liaise with internal teams, garages, suppliers.
18. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
19. Reliable, proactive mindset with ability to work under supervision and to adapt when unexpected issues arise.
Desirable:
20. Previous experience in fleet operations, logistics, or a similar role.
21. Experience with compliance / regulatory requirements for vehicles (MOT, tax, insurance).
22. Basic mechanical understanding (knowing what to look for in vehicle condition).
23. Experience with fleet management systems.
24. Experience working in repair / mobile workshop environments.
