Overview
Bank Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner role at HMP Full Sutton. Deliver low-intensity cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, in line with Step 2 IAPT guidelines within an integrated primary care mental health team.
Responsibilities
* Conduct person-centred assessments, manage referrals, and support individuals in their self-management and recovery journeys.
* Deliver guided self-help in 1:1 and group settings, drawing from CBT principles.
* Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, attend meetings, and contribute to step-up and step-down arrangements.
* Ensure accurate data entry and maintain high standards in clinical record-keeping and confidentiality.
* Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, upholding Rethink Mental Illness values.
About You
* Qualifications: Completed the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and hold a PWP accreditation (BPS or BABCP).
* Experience: Demonstrated experience providing low-intensity, evidence-based interventions in a stepped-care environment.
* Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.
* Experience in a prison setting or with offender populations is beneficial, though not essential.
