A rare and exciting part time (16 hours per week) Band 3opportunity has opened up to join the Breast Team in the Outpatient department.
We are looking for a highlymotivated and passionate individual, who can deliver high quality patient carewithin our Breast Team.
We are small hard-working teamwho pride ourselves on developing our service and our staff in order for themto feel valued for their contributions to the team.
Main duties of the job
To assist and work as part of a team to ensure that allsafety checks have beencompleted and that clinics rooms are stocked and cleanedprior to clinics starting and throughout the day.
To assist and support patients in a variety of clinicsincluding general, prosthetic and Nurse Led
To assist Drs with procedures in clinics e.g. Setting up& assisting with Biopsies
Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed followingconsultations

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Care Certificate
* Completion of a clinical skills competency- based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3, or willingness to undertake.
* GCSE Maths & English or qualified to equivalent Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English, or willingness to undertake.
Experience
* At least 6 months of care experience working in a health or social care setting.

Knowledge and Awareness
* Confidentiality understanding of Information Governance
* Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
* Knowledge of clinical patient observations
* Willingness to undertake competencies supported by clinical skills training and education to gain theoretical underpinning knowledge in a range of clinical interventions and use of test equipment e.g. blood glucose monitors, venepuncture, cannulation etc.
* Knowledge and understanding of current healthcare issues
