An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in the role of Homelessness Prevention Officer.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about homelessness and housing and can manage a case load. You will be solutions focused to support us in achieving prevention outcomes.
The post holder will provide a first response service to all phone enquiries and visitors to the Housing Advice Centre in relation to their actual or potential homelessness situation. You will provide practical advice on seeking a sustainable housing solution through the assessment of the client’s homelessness (actual or threatened) status.
Qualifications
* A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales, for example, NVQ2 Administration, GCSEs Grade A*-C.
* A working knowledge of the local housing market, the private rented sector and the standards of private rented accommodation.
* Proven experience of working in a busy office environment involving direct contact with the public.
